Franklin School is wrapping up their bird Projects for the Original Works Fundraiser.  It's been a productive 2 weeks of drawing and painting in all grades.  Take a look at some of the work

Robert Indiana- LOVE

LOVE

Grade 4 learned how to make 3-dimensional lettering to complete this project. Also discussed throughout was the use of shading to enhance the 3-D aspect of the letters.  

Robert Indiana- also known as Robert Clark, is an American artist associated with the pop art movement.

Jim Dine inspired Valentine Art

Artist Jim Dine is one of my favorite artists and I use MANY of his exemplars around Valentine's day.  Take a look at a few students working on there work.

Leahy School Valentine's Day cards

This year we will be exchanging Valentines with the students at the Leahy School in Lawrence.

 I've taken on this project with the help of many parent volunteers who have donated time and materials to complete the cards.
