Shape cats
Grade 1 spent two classes working on these beauties. This was a step-by-step drawing to get the basic shape down, and they had the opportunity to add their own creative touches to it (such as a wild collar and a funky shapes on the body of the cat). Take a look at them working away.

Winter themed art
The Franklin art room has been a very busy place! From snowmen to kirigami snowflakes, we have been getting it done! Take a look at a few pictures from the past few weeks. Every grade makes a snowman that works on different skills. They all come out absolutely beautiful.

Sunflowers
Look at these beauties!! A little step-by-step drawing in grade 1 produces the most beautiful images!!!
First graders discussed size, shapes, types of lines they could use to create their sunflowers-we also learned a little about what each part of the plant is responsible for while growing.
